No skills listedStudents will learn about riparian restoration in northwest Pennsylvania. Learners will actively participate in the project, and will:
- Evaluate Success of riparian restoration projects established under the Crawford County Streambank Reforestation Program in northwest Pennsylvania.
- Conduct maintenance activities on planting projects in northwest Pennsylvania.
Projects will involve one or more of the following:
- Evaluation of trees and shrubs (living or dead)
- Evaluation of streambanks or shoreline within the project reach.
- Repair or replacement of tree shelters and stakes.
- Removal of tree shelters that are no longer needed.
- Weeding around trees and shrubs as needed.
