Details

Students will learn about riparian restoration in northwest Pennsylvania. Learners will actively participate in the project, and will:

  1. Evaluate Success of riparian restoration projects established under the Crawford County Streambank Reforestation Program in northwest Pennsylvania.
  2. Conduct maintenance activities on planting projects in northwest Pennsylvania.
Deliverables

Projects will involve one or more of the following:

  • Evaluation of trees and shrubs (living or dead)
  • Evaluation of streambanks or shoreline within the project reach.
  • Repair or replacement of tree shelters and stakes.
  • Removal of tree shelters that are no longer needed.
  • Weeding around trees and shrubs as needed.
